Learning by doing

The curriculum is designed around practical activities rather than lectures. Learners build confidence by completing everyday tasks, collaborating with others and understanding how digital skills apply to their lives, education and work.

What learners explore

  • Computer foundations — essential terminology, keyboard and mouse skills, files, folders and shortcuts.
  • Internet and communication — browsing, searching effectively, email and online collaboration.
  • Everyday productivity — Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Calendar and Sheets through hands-on activities.
  • Employment skills — creating a CV and using digital tools with confidence.
  • How the web works — introductory concepts including the World Wide Web, cloud services, URLs and IP addresses.

Free for organizations

The curriculum is open source and available through GitBook. NGOs and community organizations that would like to use the resource can email info@entelya.org and we will help them get started.

What Entelya brings to the project?

The Computer Literacy Class was developed by our team to make foundational digital education practical, accessible and easy for organizations to deliver.

Entelya created the curriculum, tested it through real classroom delivery and made it open source so that NGOs around the world can adapt and use it free of charge.

By sharing the resource openly and supporting organizations that want to adopt it, we help more learners gain the confidence and essential skills they need to participate in an increasingly digital world.
