ABOUT THE PROJECT

What is this project about?

Athena Project makes technology education accessible to everyone. It is a free, self-paced learning platform and international community designed for beginners, career changers and people who face barriers to entering the technology sector.

Learning without borders

More than 1,500 students from over 60 countries have used Athena to build practical digital skills at their own pace. Learners can start from the fundamentals and progress through hands-on, beginner-friendly material without tuition fees or fixed schedules.

Free courses

  • First Steps of JavaScript — programming fundamentals including data types, loops, conditionals, functions, objects and arrays.
  • Command Line & Dev Setup — essential terminal navigation and file-management skills.
  • Get into Git and GitHub — version control, collaboration and project workflows.
  • WordPress Foundations — building and managing websites with themes, content and plugins.

A community that learns together

Athena extends beyond its courses through an active Discord community of more than 410 people. Learners can ask questions, exchange knowledge, connect with peers and stay motivated as part of an international developer community.

Who Athena serves

The initiative supports complete beginners, aspiring developers, career changers and internationally distributed learners looking for a flexible and welcoming route into technology.

What Entelya brings to the project?

Athena is an Entelya Initiative, developed and operated by our team as a long-term commitment to inclusive digital education.

Entelya leads the platform’s strategy, learning design, curriculum and resource development, website and learning-platform development, community building, and the continued improvement of the learner experience.

By combining accessible educational content with peer support and practical pathways, we help learners turn curiosity into confidence—and confidence into opportunities in technology.
